Meet Our Founder
As the first female A&R executive at Atlantic Records Founder, Dorothy Carvello endured the systemic culture of abuse and saw how it affected other survivors. Dorothy created the Face the Music Now Foundation to bring about industry-wide change and support survivors.
The Music Industry
The music industry continues to condone rampant sexual abuse and harassment, with the great majority of female musicians reporting discrimination and sexual harassment. This has been the reality for decades. Accountability and change are long overdue.
Our Mission
The Face the Music Now Foundation was created to help survivors find their voice, take back their power and reclaim some of what they’ve lost. It is a trusted resource and safe space for those who have experienced physical, psychological and financial harm. The foundation aims to be the catalyst for large-scale change.
PAVING THE WAY FOR SURVIVORS
We are focused on changing the pervasive culture of abuse that still exists in the music industry.
Face the Music Now means we are not only facing the reality of what has been going on in the music industry for decades and demanding accountability, but also paving the way for survivors to tell their stories and reclaim their lives.
